Had the girlfriends over for a fun night of craft and revelations! Nothing beats having your girlfriends over for an evening of laughs and liquid hydration !!
So the evening had quite a bit going on but it was well planned and orchestrated. We started off with a session on gift wrapping - that's my thing ! I love gift wrapping ! We worked with two themes - one floral with vintage flowers and brown ribbon; and the other a Vintage theme with vintage sheet paper,crepe paper ribbon, brass flowers, pearls and feathers. The girls did an amazing job and were super excited with their wrapped gifts.
We also started an Article Club which is similar to a Book club. It works coz an article is short and you can literally read it on the way to the party or even at the party. Got the idea from blogger A Cup of JO who's blog is a lovely daily read. My friend Maya picked the article which touched a nerve in all us and got us opening up and sharing our immigrant experiences which we normally wouldn't talk about.
The dress code was Hippie themed so everyone came aptly dressed ! I just had to make a couple of protest signs for the photo sesh. Thank you my lovelies for a fabulous evening.................can't wait for the next one...............love you guys !!
